Reason for visit: Inca Trail & Machu Picchu
One of my Favorite Countries.
On my first trip to Peru, I crossed the border from La Paz, Bolivia to Cuzco. On arival in Cuzco I decided to do the Inca Trail as quickly as possible so I could return to La Paz to spend Christmas. Not being able to find someone to trek it with, I ended up running it in a Day, the regulations have since changed and only permit trekking as part of an organized group.
More recently I've returned many times leading trips for ventureCo. Trekked the inca Trail 9 times & been to Machu Picchu 10 times, but every time am still amazed by the ruins.
